2014 United States Professional Miniature Golf Association Open Recap

In only our second year of operation, Bluegrass Mini Golf was proud to host the Drazin & Warshaw USPMGA Open on August 15th and 16th, 2014. Forty-four players competed over ten rounds for a combined purse of $12,000. Attendees included nineteen-year-old world champion and 2013 USPMGA Masters winner Olivia Prokopova from the Czech Republic, 2008 USPMGA Masters winner Brad Lebo from Pennsylvania, 2011 USPMGA Masters Jay Klapper, local pro Todd Garfield from Oceanport, Pat Sheridan from The Putting Penguin, and Bluegrass staff member Chris Mackenrodt. Also on-hand were USPMGA President Bob Detwiler and his assistant Danielle Maloni.

After two days of intense competition, former USPMGA Open winner Matt McCaslin of Holly Springs, North Carolina took home top honors with an average score of 34.90, edging Prokopova by just .20 points.
